Location
A traditional market town in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, Morzine is dominated by attractive chalets spread across a river gorge, bordered by partially wooded slopes allowing skiing in poor weather conditions.
Morzine, at 1000m, is the most northerly of the French Alpine resorts, and weather wise benefits from the Mont Blanc microclimate. The off-piste 'trails' are both varied and adventurous, making the village a firm favorite with snowboarders, including various European national teams and pro-riders. The nightlife of this functioning French village also keeps the boarders happy.
The Skiforce Chalet (see photos on the right) is smack bang in the centre so you will be close to all amenities. The chalet has everything from a pool table and X Box to a bar and the English speaking staff are there to look after you.
The village at 1000m, with top station at 2020m, is closely linked to its neighbors Avoriaz and Les Gets in that they function as linked skiing centres during the winter season. The two resorts are included in the Portes du Soleil ski area, which includes both French and Swiss villages.
Reviews:
“Easiest access via the Ardent route straight to the Swiss border. After four inches of dusting on the first night the conditions up top made us squeal. Lovely reds and blues and I can confirm that the view from the to of the Abricotine piste to the Swiss Alps and the Dents Blanches was awesome.”
“Morzine and indeed, Portes du Soleil, is greatest resort I have been too yet. I have been to Grand Massif area and Les Deux Alpes, but this is even better.”

About Skiforce
Skiforce is a UK registered company and part of the Gapforce family. This includes British Standards (BSI) accreditation - 8848.
We are members of the Year Out Group, the UK study and work abroad trade organisation that requires both financial and safety checks plus minimum codes of practice. We are also members of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) “Know Before You Go” program. FCO booklets are available to all Skiforce potential instructors during their pre departure briefing day.
Unlike some organizations that teach Japanese, Canadian, New Zealand etc qualifications, we believe it is only correct that you learn to the British standard. You are most likely to teach to British students. So Skiforce uses the British Association of Snowsports Instructors (BASI) qualifications. First Alpine Level 1 and then Alpine Level 2 plus we include CRB and First Aid training.
A key part of any risk assessment is staff. We have our own Skiforce staff in resort, living with you. We want to ensure that not only do you pass both your Level 1 and the higher Level 2 instructors qualification, you also clear your Criminal Record Bureau check (CRB) and your First Aid courses, but also that that you have fun and ensure you want your ski season to never end!
Finally and most importantly is preparing you. Skiforce is one of the leading Gap Year UK ski instructor programmes, but we feel personal contact is still important. We will all be there at your Briefing Day, when you meet the rest of the team. Then the chilled out evening BBQ starts to create friendships before you have even arrived in resort.
"Skiforce is quite simply the number one way to become a British Instructor in the world's best ski area, making friends for life!"
Skiforce not only offer you a BASI 1 and 2 qualification but can push you even further with Off piste awareness and slalom training . Skiforce students progress into some of the best skiers around progressing to BASI level 3 and 4!
